So we know that The University of Bolton has now announced dates for its end of year creative degree show, but what else is going on in Bolton at the same time? Well, funny you should ask! Here's a statement hot off the press from The University of Bolton about what you can look forward to...

Bolton Arts Festival

14^th to 21^st June 2012 will be Arts week in Bolton Town Centre! The University of Bolton will be working closely with Bolton College, Bolton Sixth Form, Bolton Arts Forum community groups and Bolton Council to host a number of art themed events throughout the week.

The festival will begin on 14 June, with the simultaneous launches of the University of Bolton Creative Show and the End of Year Shows for Bolton Community College and Bolton 6^th Form.  It will then continue into the weekend and following week providing an opportunity for people to experience a wide range of with exciting events.

The week will create a unique opportunity for people in Bolton area to shine and give artists from different disciplines a showcase for their work with displays, exhibitions and demonstrations over a weeklong period.

The festival will provide an Art Trail around the town and will tap into the wealth of local performing arts to create a vibrant ambience in key locations around and in the Town Centre and Churchgate areas of Bolton. 

Stalls will be erected in St Andrews Church (St Andrews Court, Bolton) to create a small arts community demonstrating arts and crafts.
